We also have a separate round-up where we look at the best tech gifts for men.
Samsung also has some other great tech products to consider for Mother’s Day, including the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and the Samsung Frame TV. Alternatively, you can consider some cheaper earbuds such as the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2.
But the Twelve South PowerPic mod Wireless Charger is something special.
It’s a wireless charger for phones, earbuds or whatever that is also a picture frame when it’s not covered by the charging device.
Mom will love the fact that it’s not just another charger and cable sticking out of the wall and ruining the home aesthetic, and you can personalise it with a nice picture of the two of you.
if you really want a less attractive option, check out our roundup of the best wireless chargers.
The Paperwhite starts at $139.99 – which gets you the model with 8GB storage. You can pair it with Bluetooth to listen to audiobooks on Audible too.
Of course, there’s the entry-level Kindle too for $69.99 which has a built-in light for nighttime reading.
Bundle the Kindle with a case for an even more impressive gift – see the best cases here.
Readly offers gift cards as well. You can buy gift subscriptions for one month up to a year.
Entry-level products like the Echo Dot 4 (pictured), or the Google Nest Mini have some big savings on them right now ahead of Mother’s Day, with around half off the RRP.

Not only do both feature a narrower design for slimmer wrists, but it also introduces menstrual health tracking with added educational content about fertility and reproductive health for younger users via the Fitbit app.
Yes, that might be a bit TMI if you’re buying for Mom, the Versa 3 also offers a bunch of other features like a built-in GPS, sleep tracking, Alexa or Google voice-assistant integration and phone calls from the wrist. It’s just a small degree away from the top-end Fitbit Sense but comes in at a much cheaper price.

Co-founder Urška Sršen, named Forbes 30 Under 30 in 2016, specifically had women’s health in mind when she began the company with Sandro Mur. Outside of activity tracking and sleep monitoring, the Bellabeat Leaf offers personalised insights to manage stress, and when paired with the app, tracks the wearer’s menstrual cycles and fertility much like the Versa 3.
It’s versatile enough to be clipped onto clothing or worn as a necklace or bracelet. It’s available directly from Bellabeat.
The latest in the range, the Tile Mate (2020), is smaller than its predecessor and with a 200ft-range. If your lost item is caught outside the Bluetooth range, the Tile tracker will also tell you where the item was last, or use the Tile Network to crowd-find your item.
The Gold Professional is the brand’s mid-range straightener with a minimalist set-up. You won’t find any dials or screens because it only heats up to one temperature: 185 degrees Celcius. This is the optimal temperature for any hair type which means your hair stays protected and healthy. You can read our full review here.
The GHD Platinum+ straightener is a higher range option. If you don’t have the budget for some GHDs, then take a look at our guide to the best hair straighteners for some cheaper alternatives.
One of our favourites is the Oral-B iO Series 6, which provides five cleaning modes, and comes with an app to focus on different areas (such as gum care or whitening). There’s also a carry case included, should mom want to take this product away on holiday with her.
If that is out of your budget, then you can check out other options in our lists of the best electric toothbrushes and the best cheap electric toothbrushes.
The Dyson Supersonic features a heat-control system that communicates the temperature to the microprocessor 20 times a second, to ensure that the airflow is never too hot to damage the hair.
With a motor that spins 110,000 times a minute, Dyson has engineered a hairdryer that cuts down both on dry time and decibels (Dyson says it reaches an “inaudible frequency” to human ears). As a result of the speed, the dryer needs less heat to dry hair, causing less damage.
The motor is also in the handle, which balances out the weight compared to the traditional dryer design. This makes for a more ergonomic drying experience. If you’re willing to spend a little more, this gift is sure to make the recipient and her hair happy.
Dyson currently has stock available – but these hairdryers run out fast, so get it whilst you can.
The Theragun is one of the leading products in the field. They are a bit of an investment, but you can grab the portable Theragun Mini.
Alternatively, you can check out our review of the mid-range Theragun Elite if you want something a bit more premium.
Of course, if all of these are too expensive, there are plenty more options out there. The Sportneer K1 massage gun costs under $100 and works better than you think, as Tech Advisor Editor Jim Martin said in his review.
